A name or place entered in a search tool is transmitted directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. We do not retain or record those search terms on our systems.

An email may be kept long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

No database of personal criminal-record information is maintained, compiled, or sold here. The site publishes general directions to Montrose County custodians, including the sheriff, criminal courts, Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and Colorado Sex Offender Registry. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party records.
Third-Party Search Partners
Independent companies supply the site's search tools. Their privacy policies, not this policy, govern information submitted through those boxes. Because each partner controls its own retention and disclosure practices, review its terms before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff pages, court systems, Colorado agencies, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows one, the destination's privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to follow activity across websites and select interest-based ads.
